It was a fun and crazy day. We found out from our friend Shayne Merrill that Jed's call was in (see Shayne is a mailman- it's good to know people in important places). So the word was spread quickly that there was to be an opening of the call at 6pm sharp. The excitement was building as the day went on. Cake and ice cream was purchased for the grand event. Jed was excited and I was nervous, of course. We had plenty of guesses as to where Jed would be going. But no one guessed where the call would be to. As Jed opened the call and read North Carolina, Charlotte Mission everyone screamed! Jed was excited and we quickly went to the computer to see the area and climate. It is gonna be a hot humid climate but the beauty of the area will be worth it. We had fun talking about the preparation as I read over the pages of items to be purchased and the things that needed to be handled. Not a big deal since we have 12 weeks right? NO only 12 weeks is the way I looked at it. So in order to be organized and make sure things were handled the RIGHT way, I purchased THE binder. This is where my life would evolved daily as the weeks went on.
A perfect first post! That was an awesome night! Jed was so excited and it was fun to share that.
