So this is the kind of day that you try to prepare for your entire life and it still comes too soon. It seems that even though you kid yourself into believing that it is the stress of putting on the after the talk farewell party...it really isn't. It just means that you are getting very close to having to say your final goodbyes at the MTC. That is what I referred to as "doomsday"- for me anyway. For Jed it was the start of his big adventure! See Jed has been so clear on what he is supposed to do that it really did make it easier on me as his Mom. I can't imagine sending him out there for 2 years, and worrying that he wasn't sure if he should have gone. He was so sure! So very clear. And so very ready!
During his farewell talk he made people laugh, cry and think. See some people who don't know Jed very well may not know that he is really quite funny. He talked about Nascar, wished his Crazy Aunt Suzie a Happy Birthday and talked about a few experiences he has had with the spirit touching his heart. Curt and I have always said that Jed is so knowledgeable about the scriptures and the stories that he will make a remarkable Missionary. And now he has that opportunity to show us this. We are so proud of you Jed!!!
Here are a few pictures of the fabulous party that we had after church. We love you all so much! Thanks for the love, support and prayers.
