Jed turns 20!!!

9-25-11

Hope your birthday package made it ok!!!  Did the carrot cake work and re-expand?  or did it stay flat?  That was an experiment.  I hope it did ok!  and that you enjoyed the presents and stuff.  Hopefully you took some pictures for me.  It is crazy to think you are not a teenager anymore!

So Suzie had her baby on the 22nd.  It is a little boy named Blake Carl Fowers.  He was 20 inches long and weighed in at 7lbs 5oz.  And boy does he have alot of crazy hair!  In fact Cameron and Cooper had the nurse put it in a fauxhawk like theirs.  It is so funny.  Suzie did great during the delivery.  Little Blake came out a screaming.  I have attached a few pictures of him so you can see what a cutie pie he is.  I am going over tonight to take care of him during the night so Suzie can sleep.  Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight.  haha!

We are also taking care of Griz- my friend Staci Kendells dog.  They are down at Lake Powell for the weekend and so we are taking care of him.  He is a yappy little dog with a big attitude.  But he is a cute doggy since he looks like a good mix of Bruiser and Rosie.  He whines like Rosie and that makes us all a little crazy.

So today I spoke in Sacrament meeting with all of the other missionary Moms.  We were all scared to death...especially Roxanne and Jolene and I.  We were freaking out.  But we all did ok.  I talked about having faith and learning how to have faith with you out there in the field.  I also talked about how much you have grown while serving your mission.  About how we pray for you everyday and how proud we are of you.  I used the scripture Helaman 5:12.

Jake got his first and second class advancements in scouts last week.  He is working on environmental science right now.  That is kind of a hard one but I know he can do it.  He is also adjusting to Jr. High.  But is quickly realizing that it takes more homework time to get good grades and so that has been a bit of a shocker.

Ash is working hard at school too but also enjoying being a senior.  She has fun at the football games and hangs with friends as much as she can when she isn't working at Sandy's.

I will let Dad tell you how Grandpa is doing and what he has been up to.  As for me just working and trying to help Suzie is what I will be doing this week.  Also, Aunt Julie is going down hill fast so Grandma Wallis will be taking care of her.

Oh I forgot to send you a new cd I bought for you in your package.  So I will send it in the next one.  Along with a disc with your music on it.  Sorry I kind of ran out of time to get that done for you.  It has been crazy with taking care of Grandpa Aldous and Suzie.   Grandpa Wallis's face and mouth are looking much better now.  Not sure if the missionaries have talked with him again or not.

Well I love you and think about you all the time.  You are such a great example to me and all of us.  I am so thankful that you are my son.  Thank you for letting me love you.
Love,
Mommy

Hello young man.... How does it feel not being a teenager anymore????   Hope your bday was fun for you.

Grandpa Aldous is doing a lot better. He is getting up out of bed and moving on his own... He had to use a walker for about a week and a half but now he does not need it at all... He thinks he will be able to go home on Thursday this week which is a week earlier than Dr had predicted he will be able to.. He is ready to be home and Grandma is ready to have him there too... She relies on Grandpa to do a lot that she did not realize until he was not there to do it for her.. She is OK but like I said ready to have Grandpa home.

It was funny today at church... Your mom spoke about how you being on your mission has changed how our family is. She really did a great job and you would be proud of her... She only cried once during the talk but she pushed through the emotions and kept going until she was done... It was fun to watch her finally get up there and talk along with Roxanne Arave, Jolene Merrill, Sherry Larkin, and Sue McCullen who talked all about their sons.

Ash is rocking in school as usual and Jake is finding Jr. High a little tougher than elementary school but he is adjusting to his new environment...

Anyway I love you and I am extremely proud of you for standing up to that individual who wanted you to believe in what he was being taught and you stood your ground and bore your testimony to him... It was awesome to hear about that...

Please continue to let us know what is going on even it is a small story that you don't feel means much we still would like to know.

Loveya

Dad

YO!

Yeah its great to not be a teen no more, but i feel the same though.. weird huh?

Jake, you're gonna have to work hard to get good grades in school, i learned that the hard way.

Ashley, keep working hard and have fun!

Glad to know that grandpa Wallis and Aldous are doing better.

Suzie had the little one huh?  He looks like a little Squirt.. Haha, just kidding.

Mom, we have a problem.. I haven't gotten the package yet.  Either it hasn't come yet or someone misplaced it or someone stole it.. I don't know.. so i'm a little scared.

No pictures this week.. sorry, what did you think of the Lightsaber pictures?  Cool Huh?

We have a new elder in the district, turns out he is a Greenie, and is the funniest guy.

Oh we almost had a close encounter with a rabid racoon.  We didn't see it but some guy was telling us about it.  Racoons usually don't come out in the middle of the day, or flop itself on the ground over and over, or chase someone riding their bike.  we kept our eyes open, but didn't see it.. thank goodness!

Anyway that is all i have to report.  Love ya'll!

Jed

Well  we did ship Jed's birthday package and unfortunately it was stolen!   All of his medication and a bunch of other really fun stuff.  I had even baked him a carrot cake and vacuum sealed it.   It was a huge mess but the worse thing was that he didn't have a package for his birthday!  I cried and cried!  We eventually got him his medication and a few other items sent... it was ok just a tough week!
